[Johnny just held him tighter and reached up to pet his hair. He didn't really have anything to say to make it better. He'd lost people to the coral, but none of them had returned to their deaths.
Jacob had his island, Otoha had his city, Crowley had...whatever Crowley did, Rayfell and Chris had both returned to states that were, at least, better than death. Tokito was probably the only one whose situation had been questionable, but he hardly knew that for sure.
None of that was like this. Hell...even he didn't have death waiting for him anymore.]
You won't. Besides, someday, we'll find a way to bring them back...or save them. I'm sure of it.
[He wasn't sure of anything, not even that he could keep Sola safe, but lying was the only thing he could do right now besides a comforting embrace.]
[The sorrow leaks into a building anger, the deep kind.]
Things should be fair! I thought Vatheon was a good place but whoever tells the coral what to do is spoiling it! You can't just do that! You can't just kill people!

[The question is muffled and watery, but there's hope there. If both Johnny and Zelda say it, then how could it not be true?]
Why did the coral send them away though? If it knew they were dead...
[His hands trace the ocarina in his lap, passing over the holes and curves of the instrument.]

Because...honestly? I don't know. The best answer I can think of is that things just aren't fair, but I know how much that doesn't help.
I wish I could ask it a lot of questions, the first one being why it sends away who it does...the second being how to get them back.
